About the Gallery
The Gallery at King's Corner is dedicated to displaying works of fiber artists from around the globe. Each of our artists has at least one thing in common: the desire to use cloth as their medium of expression.
About our Artists
Some of our artists have a traditional fine arts background; others have a traditional quilting background; and yet others have discovered the world of cloth and fibers through a journey of their own making.
About our Exhibits
What you will see is work as varied as the individuals who create it. Some artists choose to focus on surface design - dyeing, overdyeing, painting, stencilling, silkscreening, and even composting the fabric. Others focus on combining pieces of cloth into powerful compositions, some abstract, some not. Many choose to add embellishments - beads, buttons, fibers, ribbons, threads, and even found objects, to tell their story. And some combine all of the above. The result is something that cannot be achieved through any other medium - the textures, the colors, the weaves, the patterns - it draws you in and holds you there, discovering new dimensions with each return visit.
